The operating principle of the micro peristaltic pump


Micro peristaltic pumps are often used to pump clean or corrosive fluids without exposing these fluids to contaminants from exposed pump components. The isolation of the product from the environment and the environment of the product are crucial. In actual production, it is not difficult to find that many users are not very familiar with the operating principle of the micro peristaltic pump, so they cannot "use their strengths and avoid their shortcomings" well in production applications. Its operating principle is: pumping fluid by mechanically squeezing and releasing the pump tube alternately and repeatedly. The movement mode is like a peristaltic worm, that is, the hose is clamped between the mechanical rotor and the stator to achieve the purpose of pumping fluid.


Tips for using micro peristaltic pump


  • When not working, the pressure block of the pressure tube should be loosened to extend the life of the pump tube. The micro peristaltic pump relies on the compressed hose and the natural rebound of the hose to generate suction and fluid delivery. In order to maintain the longevity of the pump tube, when the pump is not in use, try to lift the pressure block of the pump head to make the pump tube in a natural unstressed state, thereby prolonging the life of the pump tube.


  • In the selection process, the pump speed can be reduced to less than 300 revolutions under the premise of satisfying the flow rate. The flow is produced by the rotation of the pump head. The faster the rotation, the shorter the time the pump tube will be used. Therefore, when you want the pump tube of the micro peristaltic pump to last longer, you can choose a pump with a larger tube diameter as much as possible to reduce the pump speed.


  • The theoretical flow rate should be greater than the actual flow rate during model selection, greater than 30%. The micro peristaltic pump tube is soft, so the negative pressure and discharge pressure generated by it are small. If the conveyed liquid has a certain viscosity or the pipeline has a certain length, it will cause the loss of the actual flow. In order to achieve the required flow rate, the theoretical flow rate must be slightly higher than the actual flow rate when selecting the model.


  • Pipes are used on the pump head, and ordinary pipes can be used for other connecting pipes. Since the extruded tube needs good compression resistance, resilience and tear resistance, the material purity of these pump tubes is relatively high, and the geometric dimensional accuracy is high, which will result in high prices. Therefore, it is more economical to use ordinary pipes as connecting pipes.


  • When in use, check the wear of the pump tube regularly. Because the mini peristaltic pump tube is a vulnerable part, once it is damaged, it will cause liquid leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to check whether the surface of the pump casing has early grinding holes to prevent the pump tube from being damaged.


  • When choosing, pay attention to whether the liquid that needs to be transported will corrode the pump tube, because the pump tube is made of many materials, and there are many types of liquids to be transported. No pump tube can withstand all liquids. Therefore, you need to confirm your own liquid type, compare it with a chemical compatibility table or make sure that the pump tube can be used through an immersion experiment.
