High Precision Stepper Motor Syringe Pump for Laboratory and Industrial

What Is Syringe Pump

Syringe Pump, also known as, syringe driver, originally is developed from infusion pumps. With the combination of PC communication and mobile technology, the types of syringe pumps are increasing, and the performance is becoming more and more diverse, such as infuse and withdraw syringe pump, multi syringes syringe pump, micro syringe pump, industrial syringe pump, laboratory syringe pump, high-pressure syringe pump, OEM module syringe pump, etc. In conclusion, Syringe pumps are mainly used in medical applications and various research fields. In medical applications, syringe pump is also well known as infusion pump. In the research area, syringe pump is a stepper motor-driven precision pump that uses one or more syringes to deliver precise and accurate amounts of fluid in high-impact research environments.

Runze Fluid High Precision Syringe Pump

With the development of science and technology, more and more research fields need to apply syringe pumps to solve the problem of precise metering and liquid pipetting/dispensing/dilution in their project. Runze Fluid, as a leading international ISO 9001 certified supplier of OEM syringe pump, has been dedicated to fluidic parts R&D and production for 8 years and has been developing and manufacturing various types of syringe pumps. All of our pumps have been specifically developed to offer flexible integration and rapid prototyping, allowing users to quickly and easily set up and run them. We offer versatile syringe pumps, including a vertical syringe pump ( syringe of this type of syringe pump cannot be replaced autonomously, and if you need to achieve a variety of multiport flow configurations conversion needs to be used with the switching valve ), such as SY04, SY08, SY09, Integrated syringe pump with multi-port switching valve ( you can change the syringe with different volume according to your own experimental needs, and it is convenient to switch various multi-port flow paths) such as SY01B, SY03B, multi-channel integrated syringe pump ( this unit is available in 1/2/4/6/8 channel which is ideal for multi-port liquid handling tasks such as sample transfers, dilutions, mixing, reagent additions and plate reformatting ) as SY03B DK, micro piston pump RP01, continuous syringe pump RPM-01 ( a high precision continuous liquid transferring syringe pump instead of a peristaltic pump), etc. All of them work as a key part of fluidic systems with high precision, accuracy, compact design, stable quality, and excellent prices.

Syringe Pump Application

Runze high precision syringe pump is widely used in various applications. Basically precise dosing systems, a microfluidic application such as vaccine research, micro-environmental control, environmental protection; an industrial application such as new material development, precise dispensing applications in the field of electronics and machinery; various laboratory projects, and other advanced research such as medical and biological research, chemical analysis system; they can also play a major role in minimizing errors in the fields of microanalysis and instrumental analytics, such as mass spectrometry (MS), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).

Syringe Pump VS Peristaltic Pump

Peristaltic pump, also commonly known as a roller pump, is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. Syringe pump is a motor-driven precision pump that uses one or more syringes to deliver precise and accurate amounts of fluid in high-impact research environments. Both of them can be driven by the same stepper motor and used for liquid transferring, but they work differently.  The functions of peristaltic pumps are divided into two main categories, metering bottle filling or continuous liquid transferring, while, syringe pump, can achieve higher progress in the above functions, other research functions can also be implemented based on high precision properties. Normally peristaltic pumps are used in industry, food industry, environmental control, and chemical industry. Syringe pumps are always applied in medical and various research areas. Compared with syringe pumps, peristaltic pumps have below advantages:

1. the liquid only passes through the hose and does not come into contact with the pump body

2. meet the accuracy and repeatability of quantitative adding and dispensing for bottle liquid filling

3. can transport solid particles of fluid, and do not break the ring particles, such as orange juice.

4. Easy to operate and easy to maintain: no valves and seals, the hose is the only consumable, easy to maintain and replace.

5. favorable price compared with syringe pump. But the low precision, parts often need to be maintained, and the long-term high cost of the practical application make syringe pump the best choice.
